Eckles Vending LLC was founded by Mike Eckles, a U.S. Army veteran with 23 years of service and a legacy of dedication to family, hard work, and community. After retiring from the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as a certified instructor for concealed carry and taser training, Mike transitioned into entrepreneurship with a mission to support local businesses through convenient, full-service vending solutions.

Mike’s journey reflects the core values of Eckles Vending: resilience, integrity, and service. In the late 80s and early 90s, while working three jobs to support his family, he made the life-changing decision to attend Pittsburg State University in Kansas. He earned his bachelor’s degree while balancing a full-time job and family responsibilities. His leadership skills quickly propelled him through the ranks at Walmart, where he rose to District Manager within five years.

After moving his family from Oklahoma to Iowa, then to Texas, Mike served in Guantanamo Bay and Fort Benning in the aftermath of 9/11. Upon returning to civilian life, he pursued a career with Cash America and later expanded his skills in construction, fencing, and logistics. With Sue, his wife and lifelong partner, he built their family home and shop at Lake Fork, Texas, continuing to embody the values of grit and self-reliance.

Now retired, Mike launched Eckles Vending LLC as a way to give back to the community. His company offers snack and beverage vending machines to local businesses, creating accessible and consistent refreshment options for employees and customers alike.

A Family Business with a Legacy

Eckles Vending is proudly partnered with Eckles Digital Marketing, led by Mike’s son, Derek Eckles—an analyst at Chase Bank, graduate of LSU, and a seasoned entrepreneur. Together, they are building a modern, service-oriented vending company with strong roots in Texas values.

Mike and Sue Eckles have raised a family rooted in purpose and perseverance. Their daughter, Balinda, is a pharmacy technician and graduate in Criminal Justice and Investigations. They have also legally adopted and supported their niece Keyanna, a certified nursing assistant, and nephew Isaih, who is currently pursuing his Master Electrician certification.

Above all, Mike and Sue take the greatest pride in being loving grandparents. Their grandchildren are a constant source of joy and inspiration, and family remains at the heart of everything they do. Whether it’s offering support, guidance, or simply spending time together, their legacy is one of dedication—to their family, their community, and their shared future.
