Eckles Vending was founded by Mike Eckles — U.S. Army veteran, retired law enforcement officer, and lifelong East Texan. After 23 years of military service and a career with the Hunt County Sheriff's Office, Mike launched Eckles Vending to do what he's always done: serve his community. The mission is simple — give local businesses a reliable, no-hassle vending solution at zero cost to them.

Mike's background spans military service, law enforcement, and business leadership. He knows what it means to be accountable, to show up, and to get the job done right. Those same values drive how Eckles Vending operates every single day.

After moving his family from Oklahoma to Iowa, then to Texas, Mike served in Guantanamo Bay and Fort Benning in the aftermath of 9/11. Upon returning to civilian life, he pursued a career with Cash America and later expanded his skills in construction, fencing, and logistics. With Sue, his wife and lifelong partner, he built their family home and shop at Lake Fork, Texas, continuing to embody the values of grit and self-reliance.

Now retired, Mike launched Eckles Vending LLC as a way to give back to the community. His company offers snack and beverage vending machines to local businesses, creating accessible and consistent refreshment options for employees and customers alike.

A Family Business built on Texas values

Eckles Vending is a true family operation. Derek Eckles, Mike's son, brings over 20 years of banking and financial analysis experience and is a graduate of LSU. Together, Mike and Derek are building something that lasts — a modern, reliable vending business rooted in hard work, integrity, and community.

Mike and Sue Eckles have raised a family rooted in purpose and perseverance. Their daughter, Balinda, is a pharmacy technician and graduate in Criminal Justice and Investigations. They have also legally adopted and supported their niece Keyanna, a certified nursing assistant, and nephew Isaih, who is currently pursuing his Master Electrician certification.

Above all, Mike and Sue take the greatest pride in being loving grandparents. Their grandchildren are a constant source of joy and inspiration, and family remains at the heart of everything they do. Whether it’s offering support, guidance, or simply spending time together, their legacy is one of dedication—to their family, their community, and their shared future.
